Head Chef

Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chinese Economy Rice Chef to manage daily kitchen operations, lead the team, and deliver authentic and high-quality Chinese dishes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in economy rice preparation, strong leadership skills, and the ability to innovate new dishes while maintaining kitchen efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Prepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese economy rice dishes daily. *Train and mentor new kitchen staff to meet operational standards. *Create new dishes and contribute to menu planning based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients. *Oversee daily kitchen operations, including preparation, cleanliness, and food safety. *Provide daily reports to the Head Chef regarding operations, inventory, and staff performance. *Monitor and manage kitchen supplies, including ordering and receiving goods. *Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. *Maintain operations within budget while delivering high-quality food consistently.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Minimum 5 years of experience in Chinese economy rice or similar food service. *Proven experience in leading and managing kitchen teams. *Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, especially economy rice variety and flavors. *Ability to create and innovate new dishes. *Good organizational, time management, and communication skills. *Experience in kitchen budgeting, purchasing, and cost control. *Must be hands-on and willing to work long hours including weekends and public holidays.
