Description
The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing various accounting processes, including handling accounts receivable (billing and collections) and accounts payable (procurement, invoice verification, coding, posting, and data entry). The role also involves processing purchase requisitions, reconciling bank and related party accounts, managing donations, handling fixed assets, petty cash, and bank payments. Additional duties include preparing journal vouchers, generating monthly reports, supporting the finance team during month-end closing, assisting with the annual external audit and budget exercises, and supporting new processes and system implementations. The position requires strong coordination and liaison with internal parties across schools, centers, and headquarters, along with other assigned tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage the Accounts Receivable process, including billing and collections. * Oversee the Accounts Payable process, including procurement, verification of supplier invoices, coding and posting of invoices, and data entry. * Process and manage Purchase Requisitions, ensuring alignment with vendor invoices, and monitor and clear any outstanding PRs older than three months. * Prepare journal vouchers and post them in the accounting system (SAP). * Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile related party accounts. * Manage donations within DMS for Finance and IRAS submissions. * Handle fixed assets and ensure proper tracking. * Manage petty cash and process bank payments. * Generate monthly reports, track budgets, and support the closing of accounts. * Provide assistance to the Finance team during month-end closing procedures. * Support the annual external audit and budget planning processes. * Assist with the implementation of new processes and systems as needed. * Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders and headquarters. * Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum Diploma/ITE or Certificate in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. * At least 3 years of relevant work experience. * Strong team player with good interpersonal skills. * Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and Word. * Familiarity with SAP is a plus. * Enthusiastic, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. * Capable of maintaining focus on details to ensure accuracy. * Experience handling full sets of accounts is a plus.
