Description

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join a wagyu-focused Japanese fine dining restaurant in Tanjong Pagar. You will oversee a specific kitchen station with precision and consistency, ensuring each dish reflects authentic Japanese culinary techniques and aesthetics. Responsibilities and Duties

* Execute and manage cooking and plating in an assigned station (grill, simmering, frying, etc.) * Handle ingredient preparation and ensure freshness and quality control * Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and serving temperature * Uphold hygiene and food safety standards at all times * Reproduce menu items faithfully under the direction of senior chefs * Provide guidance to junior staff and maintain smooth station operations * Coordinate precise timing and plating for service flow * Collaborate with service staff to enhance guest dining experiences

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum 1 year of experience in high-end Japanese cuisine (kaiseki, kappo, or fine dining) * Proven expertise in at least one key station (grill, simmering, frying) * Strong understanding of Japanese culinary aesthetics and plating * Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices (HACCP a plus) * Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and efficiently * Strong teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to learn * Mandarin or Japanese language ability is an advantage
