Commercial Finance Business Partner Lead

We are seeking a dynamic Finance Business Partner Lead to join our global team. Based in Singapore, this role involves collaborating with senior leaders to shape strategy, drive performance management, and execute strategic decisions. The position requires strong financial expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to influence outcomes across diverse global teams and stakeholders. Reporting to the General Manager Commercial Finance, this role will manage a team located in Singapore, Perth, and Montreal.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Serve as the primary finance contact for the Global Head of Procurement and Head of Commercial Operations. - Lead and manage the planning process for Procurement and Commercial Operations, aligning with business priorities. - Influence senior management to shape strategic priorities and deliver key outcomes. - Develop and implement performance management processes with forward-looking KPIs. - Collaborate with leaders, finance teams, and stakeholders to optimize performance and value creation. - Provide financial insights for business cases, initiatives, and category developments, such as decarbonization projects. - Manage and oversee financials for Commercial Operations (Marine), ensuring compliance with accounting and tax standards. - Track and report initiatives, contributing to measuring Procurement’s and Commercial Operations' bottom-line impact. - Lead finance transformation initiatives, focusing on process improvements and efficiency gains. - Work with the group to implement modern ERP systems and ensure fit-for-purpose processes and tools. - Manage and mentor Finance Business Partners across multiple locations and experience levels. - Promote continuous improvement and excellence in financial practices. - Support strategic decision-making through detailed financial modeling and trade-off analysis.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field; professional qualifications such as CFA, CA, CPA, or MBA preferred. - Over 15 years of experience in finance, ideally with exposure to commodities. - Proven ability to manage and influence diverse teams and stakeholders within a matrixed environment. - Experience leading teams, providing mentorship, and managing employee performance. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. - Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation abilities. - Drive for continuous improvement and a focus on value creation.
