Finance Manager

We are a growing asset management firm seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to establish and lead our finance function. Reporting directly to the principal, this hands-on role is pivotal in overseeing the financial health of the company. The Finance Manager will handle both strategic financial planning and day-to-day operational tasks, ensuring compliance, managing budgets, and providing critical financial insights to support business growth.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Develop and manage budget planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for the firm. - Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to guide business decisions. - Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, working with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed. - Oversee cash flow and liquidity management and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions. - Handle tax planning and compliance, optimizing the firm’s tax position while adhering to regulations. - Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), expense management, and financial transactions. - Implement and maintain effective financial controls and ensure accurate record-keeping. - Develop and enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are preferred. - 7–10 years of experience in a finance role, ideally within the asset management or hedge fund industry. - Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws. - Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel and SAP. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
