Senior Accounts Executive

Description

This role manages both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate financial transactions, timely payments and collections, and compliance with relevant regulations. The individual will collaborate with internal teams, maintain financial records, and contribute to efficient accounting operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Generate and distribute invoices to clients promptly. * Monitor outstanding receivables and ensure timely collection of payments due. * Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of records. * Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues raised by customers. * Maintain precise records of all customer transactions and communications. * Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner for payment authorization. * Verify and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for. * Review and approve employee expense reports for reimbursement processing. * Coordinate with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals for payment processing. * Prepare and process electronic payments, checks, and wire transfers. * Maintain vendor files and update records with current information. * Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues. * Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, procurement, and operations to optimize processes and resolve any issues. * Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements. * Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. * Provide support during audits and financial reviews as needed. * Utilize accounting software and tools to efficiently manage receivable and payable transactions. * Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in accounts receivable and accounts payable management.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Five or more years of demonstrated experience managing the full spectrum of accounting/finance functions. * Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. * Proficiency in accounting software applications. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. * Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks. * Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently. * Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
