Responsibilities and Duties

* Oversee and manage a designated kitchen section, meeting the high standards established by the lead chef. * Present dishes with artistic flair, enhancing the dining experience for our guests. * Maintain strict adherence to our standards for food presentation, preparation, and portion control. * Assist in food preparation and presentation, upholding hygiene, quality, and our establishment's standards. * Craft visually appealing plates that maximize customer satisfaction. * Collaborate with the lead or assistant chef to innovate and develop new menu items. * Ensure precise food portioning, serving, supply requests, and stock receiving, following SOPs to minimize waste. * Maintain a well-organized kitchen, supporting staff development and training. * Execute daily kitchen tasks with efficiency. * Verify the accurate requisition of ingredients and other essential kitchen supplies. * Carry out any additional related tasks assigned by the direct supervisor. * Guarantee that all food preparation and presentation by the team adheres closely to recipes and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

* A minimum of three years of culinary experience in a restaurant specializing in western cuisine. * Strong collaborative and teamwork skills. * Possession of a basic food safety or hygiene certification. * Ability to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks. * Effective and clear communication skills.
