Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Culinary Support and Preparation Specialist to join our kitchen team. In this role, you'll be essential in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the preparation of high-quality meals while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Sanitation and Cleaning: - Thoroughly clean and sanitize all food preparation areas, adhering to established hygiene protocols. - Wash and properly store all cooking tools, appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes. Ingredient Preparation: - Assist the Cook in preparing meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meat. - Promptly transfer meal ingredients from storage to the kitchen as instructed by the Cook. - Accurately measure meal ingredients according to recipes. - Receiving and Inventory: - Receive deliveries, verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and meet quality standards. - Assist with unloading delivered food supplies. - Support the supervisor with inventory management tasks. - Hygiene and Safety: - Perform basic cleaning duties and ensure workstations and the kitchen are properly sanitized to meet HACCP standards. - Meal Presentation: - Plate and present meal items according to section requirements. - Section Responsibility: - Take ownership of completing food preparations for your designated section. - Waste Reduction: - Minimize kitchen wastage by adhering to efficient preparation practices.
