We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our kitchen team, ensuring seamless back-of-house operations. This role focuses on maintaining impeccable standards of food preparation, presentation, and delivery, while fostering a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will be a vital part of our culinary team, contributing to exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare all recipes with precision, adhering to established guidelines. * Review daily specials and ensure all necessary preparations are completed. * Execute and verify all daily food preparations. * Create and submit supply requests based on daily needs, seeking approval from the supervising chef. * Ensure adherence to First-In, First-Out (FIFO) procedures for all fresh and dry goods. * Conduct regular checks of refrigeration units, monitoring: * Expiration dates of stored items. * Overall cleanliness of the units. * Adherence to hygiene and sanitation standards. * Support portion control practices and guarantee accurate plating as per provided instructions. * Verify the quality and condition of received fruits and other materials. * Assume the responsibilities of the assistant pastry chef when required. * Build and maintain positive relationships with team members, and assist in other kitchen areas as needed. * Promptly communicate any anticipated supply shortages to the supervising chef. * Properly store all unused food items, ensuring they are covered and dated. * Maintain a professional and respectful work environment, preventing any inappropriate behavior.
