Description

This role involves providing essential support within a busy kitchen, ensuring a clean and organized environment, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. You'll work closely with the culinary team to contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Kitchen Cleanliness and Sanitation: - Thoroughly clean and sanitize all food preparation areas according to established hygiene standards. - Wash and properly store all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes. - Perform basic cleaning duties and ensure workstations and the kitchen meet HACCP standards. - Food Preparation and Assistance: - Assist the Cook in preparing meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping various food items. - Promptly transfer ingredients from storage to the kitchen as instructed. - Accurately measure ingredients according to recipes. - Plate and present meal items as required. - Inventory and Deliveries: - Receive deliveries and verify the accuracy and quality of ordered items. - Assist with unloading delivered food supplies. - Assist supervisors with inventory duties. - Waste Management: - Ensure minimal kitchen wastage. - Section Responsibilities: - Complete assigned food preparation tasks for your designated section.

Qualifications and Requirements
