We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee the daily operations of our Indian restaurant, both in the front and back of house. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional food and beverage service, maximizing customer satisfaction, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all aspects of the restaurant. You will be a key driver in maintaining our positive image, managing costs, and fostering a high-performing team.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Oversee the day-to-day operations of both the dining area and the kitchen. * Ensure outstanding food and beverage service is delivered, maximizing the delight of our customers. * Address customer feedback and complaints efficiently and with care. * Regularly assess the quality of our offerings and explore new supplier options. * Organize and supervise staff shifts effectively. * Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity. * Forecast future needs for supplies, kitchen tools, and cleaning materials. * Ensure full adherence to all sanitation and safety regulations. * Uphold and enhance the restaurant's positive reputation, suggesting improvements where needed. * Manage operational expenses effectively and identify ways to minimize waste. * Generate comprehensive reports on weekly, monthly, and annual financial performance. * Promote our brand within the local community through positive interactions and restaurant events. * Recommend strategies to reach a wider audience, such as promotions and social media engagement. * Train both new and existing team members on best practices in customer service. * Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the long-term success of the restaurant. * Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and hygiene laws and requirements. * Manage our relationship with external food hygiene consultants and their reports. * Collaborate closely with central support on the planning and implementation of new menu ideas and specifications each season, ensuring they align with guidelines and meet our high-quality standards. * Take ownership of the corporate event menus, providing seasonal sign-off in collaboration with the Corporate Events Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, General Manager, Hospitality Manager, or in a similar leadership role within the Indian restaurant sector. * Comprehensive knowledge of traditional South and North Indian food items. * Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service in an operational management capacity. * Extensive understanding of Indian food and beverage offerings, including the ability to recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and staff. * Familiarity with restaurant management software, such as OpenTable and Peach Works. * Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills. * Accurate financial management abilities. * A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management. * Ability to work on weekends and Public Holidays.
