Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to maximize the sales and profitability of our restaurant department. You will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of daily activities, cultivate strong guest relationships, and provide effective training and leadership to our team members.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Collaborate closely with the Restaurant Manager to optimize department profits through increased revenue and minimized costs. * Share responsibility with the Restaurant Manager for the outlet's profit and loss statement. * Share responsibility with the Restaurant Manager for managing department controllables in relation to revenue. * Oversee asset management for the outlet and its facilities. * Maintain awareness of all guest incentive programs and ensure adherence to correct accounting procedures. * Manage all accounting and billing procedures within the outlet. * Conduct accurate weekly business demand forecasts to ensure efficient staffing and food ordering in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. * Prepare time sheets, work schedules, and complete weekly wage progress reports, addressing any discrepancies in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. * Ensure efficient management and supervisory scheduling. * Represent the outlet in all day-to-day operational matters. * Enforce operating standards and regularly update and improve them. * Develop and implement quarterly plans and actions for the restaurant, with consistent follow-up. * Develop quarterly departmental training plans for associates and supervisors in collaboration with HR, and ensure implementation. * Maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene in the outlet at all times. * Ensure the timely and professional execution of all associate reviews and appraisals. * Manage all aspects of associate management, including hiring and termination, in consultation with senior management. * Train, supervise, coach, and counsel associates as needed, focusing on brand standards, operational procedures, and service excellence. * Maintain and update all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOPs). * Conduct monthly preventive maintenance inspections. * Promote positive inter-departmental relations through open communication. * Maintain an "open door" policy to effectively address associate concerns. * Stay informed about market competitors and conduct quarterly competitive analyses. * Respond to guest inquiries or concerns promptly (within 24 hours) using appropriate communication methods. * Attend weekly Food & Beverage meetings and bi-weekly Leadership meetings, either with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. * Conduct weekly team meetings and daily/weekly menu classes, either with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. * Utilize Total Quality Management principles to enhance standards and service for both guests and internal stakeholders. * Lead by example, adopting a hands-on approach to motivate associates to achieve excellence. * Uphold and embody the company's core values, prioritizing associate well-being. * Fulfill any reasonable requests from senior management. * Consistently practice the company's principles of hospitality. * Embrace a proactive approach, "inspecting" rather than simply "expecting." * Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude, demonstrating a "Can Do" approach and a willingness to "go the extra mile." * Handle cash and bank transactions according to established accounting procedures and policies, including processing payments, adhering to control and audit standards, counting the bank, completing reports, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring bank security. * Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum of secondary school education. * At least 3 years of relevant experience in a Chinese restaurant, including supervisory responsibilities. * Comprehensive knowledge of Chinese menu items and pricing. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * A strong service orientation. * Ability to begin work within a short timeframe.
