Description
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine for a high-end hospitality setting. The role includes overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and presentation, managing staff, developing menus, controlling costs, and promoting sustainable practices. Responsibilities and Duties
* Ensure consistency and highest quality in taste, presentation, and temperature of all dishes. * Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper food storage. * Supervise kitchen operations and manage staff performance. * Recipe and menu development, including seasonal and special event menus. * Conduct regular meetings for information updates, maintenance, cost control, guest feedback, and profit analysis. * Manage financial performance including purchase orders, inventory turnover, and food cost analysis. * Delegate duties and provide training, performance appraisals, and succession planning. * Implement sustainability and minimal wastage practices. * Maintain professionalism and adhere to company policies, principles, and values. * Flexible deployment across multiple properties as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
* High school diploma or GED with 5 years' experience in culinary/F\&B, or * Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with at least 10 years' professional experience. * Proven leadership and management skills. * Expertise in Chinese cuisine. * Strong organizational, financial, and people management skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
