Description
We’re looking for an experienced Junior Sous Chef / Sous Chef to join a dynamic kitchen team. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations to ensure food is prepared to the highest quality and consistency. You'll help manage kitchen administration, maintain safety and hygiene standards, and ensure smooth day-to-day functionality, all while delivering exceptional meals that meet guest expectations.
Responsibilities and Duties
*Supervise all kitchen sections to ensure high-quality, consistent food production *Plan and manage kitchen operations to achieve customer satisfaction and efficiency *Coordinate daily preparation and workflow to ensure timely service delivery *Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation to meet established standards *Conduct regular stock level reviews to ensure essential items are ordered in advance *Oversee proper receiving and storage of food items, maintaining freshness and quality *Enforce food safety and hygiene regulations in line with internal and regulatory guidelines *Support the development of new dishes and contribute to maintaining an innovative menu
Qualifications and Requirements
*3 to 5 years of experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a similar role *Formal culinary training or certification preferred *Comfortable working in a multicultural kitchen environment *Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English *Knowledge of food safety systems such as HACCP and ISO22000 *Must be able to start work immediately or within a short notice period
