Description
We are seeking a Sous Chef / Assistant Head Chef to join a catering and events company in Senoko. The role involves supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and maintaining high standards of hygiene. Responsibilities and Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations * Oversee purchasing, receiving, and storage of ingredients * Monitor quality, presentation, and temperature of food served * Ensure consistency in food preparation and portioning * Implement waste reduction strategies and maintain SOP standards * Enforce strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety practices * Manage efficient storage and utilization of perishable items * Check freshness of ingredients and prevent use of expired items * Perform additional tasks as required by management
Qualifications and Requirements
* At least 3 years of experience preparing Western and Asian cuisine * Professional culinary certificate, NITEC, or equivalent qualification * Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards * Ability to work during weekends, public holidays, and peak hours * Good teamwork, time management, and communication skills
