Description
The Audit Manager coordinates and executes audit plans, defines scope and objectives, and develops engagement plans. They work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure proper reporting and alignment on audit issues. The role involves evaluating compliance, internal controls, and risk management, presenting audit findings to management and the audit committee, and ensuring the effectiveness of safeguards and governance processes.
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee the execution of audit plans, collaborating with internal teams to define scope and objectives. Develop engagement plans, outlining the audit environment, scope, objectives, and resource requirements. Coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure clear communication on audit details and concerns. Stay updated with best practices, legislation, and business operations for compliance and risk analysis. Evaluate the company's methods for asset protection and assess the relevance of safeguards. Professionally communicate audit findings to relevant stakeholders. Review audit outcomes for objectives, quality, completeness, and feedback. Present audit findings to the audit committee and management. Provide evaluations of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or similar designation. Extensive experience in auditing within an IT Services environment. Proven experience working with both internal and external stakeholders. Advanced expertise in auditing processes, financial information, and IT systems.
