Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Chef to take charge of our kitchen operations. As the kitchen’s leader, you’ll be responsible for overseeing food preparation, designing innovative menus, ensuring consistent food quality, and managing kitchen staff. Responsibilities and Duties
*Monitor the freshness and quality of all ingredients before use. *Lead and coordinate kitchen team members, ensuring smooth daily operations. *Create and test new recipes, while maintaining a high standard for existing dishes. *Plan menus with attention to variety, seasonal ingredients, and balanced nutrition. *Maintain strict cleanliness and safety standards across all workstations and equipment. *Oversee food preparation from start to finish, ensuring timely service and presentation. *Final-check dishes before they’re served to ensure they meet visual and taste expectations. *Order supplies and ingredients based on kitchen needs and stock levels. *Ensure all portions are consistent in size and meet quality benchmarks. *Troubleshoot and resolve kitchen issues promptly, keeping service smooth.
Qualifications and Requirements
*A minimum of 2 to 5 years’ proven experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen. *Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a team. *Excellent organizational abilities to delegate tasks and follow through on progress. *Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and plating presentation. *Ability to thrive under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. *A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.
