Description
As the Night Manager, you will supervise hotel operations during the night shift to ensure that guest service standards are upheld and that hotel assets are secured and protected. Nextbeat Singapore Pte.Ltd. EA License Number: 22C1267
Responsibilities and Duties
* Monitor the performance of employees scheduled during the shift and recommend or initiate disciplinary actions in line with company rules and policies. Report serious issues to the relevant management for follow-up. * Foster teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management. * Interact with external contacts, including: * Guests to ensure their complete satisfaction * Regulatory agencies, law enforcement, or local government authorities regarding safety and compliance matters * Other necessary contacts, such as professional organizations, community groups, and local media. * Ensure that procedures for the security of money, credit, and financial transactions, as well as guest security, are followed. * Resolve all guest complaints promptly and professionally, adhering to established service recovery guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction and encourage repeat business. * Oversee front desk operations and night audit functions in accordance with established procedures, ensuring guests receive prompt, professional attention and are greeted upon arrival, and that audit functions and reports are completed on time. * Communicate any VIP, Priority Club, or special needs or requests to staff and follow up on their execution. * Assist in educating employees about current safety issues to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and inform management of any hazardous situations, emergencies, or threats to the security of guests, employees, or hotel assets. * Manage the hotel's night operations effectively. * Conduct periodic walk-throughs of each department, touring public areas and grounds to ensure their appearance reflects positively on the hotel, brand, and company. Address any deficiencies found. * Coordinate the evacuation and notification of employees and guests in the event of an emergency. * Perform routine inspections of the front office and public areas throughout the shift to ensure that their appearance reflects positively on the hotel, brand, and company, correcting any deficiencies. * Document and record all incidents involving guests or employees, or other relevant events, in the appropriate reports, such as the Manager on Duty Report. Report any injuries to Loss Prevention in accordance with policies and procedures. * Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Diploma in Hotel Management or an equivalent qualification. * 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel industry. * Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Must be fluent in English. * Ability to work permanent night shifts. * Proficiency in the Opera Property Management System is a plus.
