Accounting & Finance Executive / Senior Executive

Description

This role focuses on accounting and financial management related to business development activities, including project support such as profitability evaluation and financial assessment. The individual will be involved in preparing financial statements and budgets, managing loans, coordinating with financial institutions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of business development projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare management accounts for business development activities, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow management. * Develop and review the annual budget. * Perform analysis of actual results versus budgeted figures for business development activities. * Manage loans obtained from banks (project finance) and shareholders. * Interact with financial group companies, banks, and lenders. * Assist in financial arrangements and associated documentation. * Ensure timely execution of all necessary payments, such as operating expenses, management fees, and loan repayments. * Manage contractual requirements related to facility agreements, shareholder agreements, management agreements, and other relevant contracts depending on the project. * Verify invoices and collaborate with the accounting team to ensure prompt payment processing. * Communicate effectively with other stakeholders. * Evaluate work practices and procedures to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiency. * Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors and management. * Confirm the appropriate accounting method for each project in collaboration with the accounting team and auditors. * Verify tax implications for each project with the accounting team and tax consultants. * Contribute to project profitability evaluations and financial assessments. * Provide accounting and financial management support for projects located in various countries within Southeast Asia and Oceania. * Perform other ad-hoc project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Diploma in accountancy, business management, finance, or a related field. * At least three years of experience in accounting or finance. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Strong analytical and numerical abilities. * Effective communication and collaboration skills. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently. * Comfort and proficiency in working with large numerical data (in the millions of USD). * Strong problem-solving skills. * Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). * A positive attitude and a strong desire to acquire new skills.
