Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced All-Rounder Chef with deep expertise in traditional South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, and continental cuisine. The ideal candidate will be capable of preparing a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, including breakfast, main courses, snacks, soups, and biryanis. The role requires dedication, versatility, and the ability to work in a high-paced environment, especially during weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Prepare and cook a full range of South Indian breakfast dishes such as Idly, all types of Dosa, Pongal, Poori with Aloo, Upma, Chapathi, and Parathas *Master the preparation of chutneys, masalas, and kurumas (e.g., tomato, coconut, green chutney, Channa, Mix Veg, Aloo Gobi) *Create authentic vegetarian curries, sambars, rasams, and traditional Tamil recipes like Karak Kozhambu, Puzhi Kozhambu, and Dahi Curry *Cook a variety of vegetable side dishes (poriyals), gravies, and rice varieties (Tomato, Lemon, Tamarind, Sambar, Curd, Ghee Rice) *Prepare classic North Indian dishes including Palak Paneer, Paneer Butter Masala, and Kadai Paneer *Execute Indo-Chinese favorites such as Fried Rice, Noodles, Chicken 65, Chilli Chicken, and more *Deliver high-quality non-vegetarian dishes including fish curry/fry, chicken chettinad, pepper chicken, chicken/mutton biryani, and seafood specialties (prawns, crab) *Make a variety of soups (veg, chicken, spinach, mushroom, sweet corn, etc.) *Handle snacks preparation such as samosa, vada, pakoda, bonda, bajji, and cutlets *Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards at all times *Ensure consistent taste and quality in every dish served *Collaborate with other kitchen staff for smooth operations *Monitor ingredient stock and assist with procurement and planning

Qualifications and Requirements

*Mandatory availability for weekends and public holidays *Minimum 3–5 years of experience in South Indian cuisine, with additional experience in North Indian, Chinese, and seafood dishes preferred *Strong ability to multitask and independently manage a full kitchen setup *Excellent knowledge of traditional Indian cooking methods and regional specialties *Capable of handling bulk preparation without compromising on taste or quality *Attention to detail and a passion for food presentation *Strong communication and leadership skills, with a positive and hardworking attitude *Basic knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling standards
