Responsibilities and Duties

*Food Preparation & Cooking: Precisely prepare ingredients by slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, mixing, adding seasonings, and verifying taste. You'll expertly complete hot meal preparation using grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling techniques, as well as assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients. *Menu Development: Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with your supervisor. You'll also develop exciting new menu items while continuously improving existing ones. *Kitchen Management: Maintain and manage kitchen expenses, control food costs, oversee inventory, and assist with staffing within budgetary limits. *Hygiene & Safety: Adhere strictly to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. This includes maintaining temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs, and ensuring appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items. *Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment, food storage, and work areas. You'll complete cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing and pot washing. *Customer Interaction: Listen to customer complaints and suggestions, resolving issues within your scope and referring more complex concerns to your supervisor. *Service & Productivity Improvement: Participate in and contribute to programs, committees, or projects aimed at improving service quality and employee productivity. *Team Supervision (when applicable): Assist with the preparation and serving of all meals to customers. You may also supervise a team to ensure that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy, ensuring all food and health and safety regulations are followed.

*Culinary Expertise: A proven ability to cook authentic North Indian food. *Flexibility: You're able to perform shift work, adapting to the needs of the kitchen. *Dedication: A strong commitment to maintaining clean work areas, utensils, and equipment. *Leadership (if applicable): Experience in supervising a team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
