Description

The Marketing Director for Asia is responsible for overseeing the implementation of marketing strategies for a portfolio of brands (Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems) within the region, ensuring the operational execution of related projects. This role ensures consistent delivery of the brand promise across all hotels within their assigned area and works closely with regional operational teams. The Director also communicates the brand vision to hotel owners and General Managers.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Monitor evolving guest behaviors and needs. * Conduct competitive analysis of competitor positioning, focusing on experiences and communication strategies. * Conduct market research to inform action plans and product development. * Adapt global marketing materials to the local context, incorporating relevant cross-functional initiatives (e.g., corporate social responsibility, loyalty programs, food and beverage promotions). * Understand target audiences and current clientele to develop tailored marketing plans that align marketing activities with customer and prospect expectations. * Select appropriate communication channels (e.g., advertising, press, media plans, promotional events). * Manage and implement the action plan timeline. * Establish local partnerships to deliver unique in-hotel experiences. * Ensure the brand promise is consistent with the organization's CSR policy. * Create a distinctive and memorable customer experience. * Update the content of communication materials. * Develop impactful and differentiating brand campaigns. * Engage with owners and General Managers to ensure alignment between communication strategies and in-hotel experiences. * Support hotels by providing expertise in the development or launch of new products and projects. * Consistently involve hotel teams in brand-related projects. * Present marketing plans to owners. * Contribute to defining objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). * Monitor key KPIs (e.g., brand awareness, brand perception, revenue per available room). * Develop activity dashboards. * Optimize implemented strategies based on results and implement corrective actions as needed. * Select suppliers and service providers for guest experience and communication initiatives, including drafting and launching requests for proposals. * Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and communication agencies. * Negotiate operational budgets. * Present associated action plans. * Develop, implement, and monitor the execution of operational plans.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, communication, marketing management, commercial strategies). * Business school education is a plus. * Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing. * Proficiency in marketing techniques. * Ability to develop marketing action plans. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build consensus around brand initiatives. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to motivate and work effectively within a team and coordinate projects. * Ability to negotiate partnership contracts. * Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Excellent analytical and synthesis skills to interpret data and structure strategies and marketing plans. * Innovative and creative mindset to develop original and engaging promotional materials. * Comfort working with data and interpreting numerical information. * Fluency in English and a second language.
