This role is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of food and service, while also playing a key part in the training and development of our floor staff. Responsibilities and Duties
* Service Excellence: Ensure the highest levels of service, food, and accommodation for all customers. * Team Leadership: Assist in the training and development of all floor staff. Assign responsibilities to the team and check their performance periodically. * Daily Operations: Work closely with the management team to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant. Conduct daily pre-shift briefings and liaise with the kitchen and reception on daily operations. * Financial Management: Handle all sales settlements, account for bills, correct errors, and balance daily transactions. Conduct weekly inventory checks on operating equipment and supplies. * Menu Expertise: Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, daily specials, and wines, and ensure waiting staff are properly informed. * Customer Relations: Establish and maintain good relations with customers, handling inquiries and feedback professionally. * Team Welfare: Take an active interest in the welfare, safety, and development of all staff to build an efficient and cohesive team.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the F&B industry. * Proven ability to implement and uphold high standards of service and operations. * Strong knowledge of menu items, wines, and standard food service procedures. * Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. * A reliable and flexible team player with a "hands-on" approach to all levels of operation.
