Manager / Deputy Manager, Human Resources

Description

This generalist HR role reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and is responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR functions, initially focusing on HR Development, Performance/Talent Management, Employee Engagement, and HR Administration. The role also includes managing office administration duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Partner with business units to advise stakeholders and provide support on relevant HR matters, such as developing internal training programs, managing training budgets and external course registrations, and overseeing annual performance and talent review processes. * Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies. Stay informed about HR regulations and best practices to recommend improvements to existing practices and streamline processes. * Plan and lead employee engagement programs and events to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. * Assist in maintaining the HR system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation. Conduct data analysis to identify trends and insights that support decision-making and reviews. * Lead and manage office administration, including office planning, employee travel arrangements, and procurement of office supplies and equipment. * Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. * Minimum of five years of relevant experience. Experience in the public sector is a plus. * Thorough understanding of relevant employment legislation. * Effective team player with strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Proactive, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
