Description

Responsibilities and Duties

* Step in and take charge in the Restaurant Manager's absence, ensuring seamless operations. * Assist the Manager in creating efficient staff schedules, considering business forecasts, budget constraints, and service standards. * Support the Manager in achieving monthly financial targets by forecasting needs, managing expenditures, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions. * Maintain a thorough understanding of local regulations, customs, and company policies. * Attend relevant F&B and other meetings as required. * Provide effective training to all team members within the outlet and support the Restaurant Manager in identifying and addressing training needs. * Conduct regular pre-meal briefings and monthly communication meetings to foster open dialogue and a collaborative team environment. * Oversee the opening and closing procedures of designated areas, ensuring all tasks are completed and security measures are in place. * Monitor staff performance, professional appearance, and adherence to hygiene standards. * Collaborate with the Restaurant Chef on daily food delivery and presentation to ensure quality and consistency. * Liaise effectively with other departments to ensure clear communication and efficient problem resolution. * Stay informed about industry trends and best practices by reviewing publications, networking with colleagues, and observing competitors. * Regularly inspect all areas for cleanliness, proper equipment storage, and adequate supply levels. * Manage all menus (including dessert, wine, and beverage lists) to ensure they are in excellent condition and accurately reflect offerings. * Oversee the presentation of any floral arrangements, trolleys, and displays to enhance the dining environment. * Clearly explain daily specials and menu items to guests in collaboration with the Chef. * Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to guests and manage seating arrangements. * Ensure consistent adherence to established quality standards, policies, and procedures by all team members. * Enforce all safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies among staff. * Maintain consistent communication with the Engineering department to ensure timely completion of necessary repairs. * Observe service standards at all times and actively participate in operations when needed. * Proactively anticipate guest needs and effectively resolve any guest issues or complaints, escalating to senior management when necessary and documenting actions taken. * Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by Management or arising from the daily needs of the restaurant.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience within the Food & Beverage industry. * Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role. * Ideally, experience working within an Italian restaurant setting. * Possesses a strong drive and passion to excel within the F&B industry. * Strong communication, problem-solving, motivational, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to commit to the restaurant's peak operating hours, including weekends, the eve of public holidays, and public holidays.
