SUPERVISOR

Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to oversee and manage various projects and facilities operations. As Project Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and functional day-to-day operation of our facilities, while also providing comprehensive project management for capital projects. You will lead and coordinate teams, manage resources, and implement processes to enhance productivity and maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Participate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment to enhance operational efficiency. * Develop and implement a robust Project Management System to streamline the handling of project requests, work orders, and maintenance requests from staff. * Coordinate and fulfill project and maintenance requests by effectively scheduling staff, vendors, and initiating work orders. * Provide comprehensive project management for capital projects, overseeing all phases from installation and construction to start-up, commissioning, and technology transfer, including necessary training. * Ensure strict adherence to all safety and compliance standards across all projects and operational activities. * Manage the efficient, functional, and safe daily operation of all facilities components through effective property and building management practices. * Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of facilities and equipment. * Schedule and supervise cleaning and daily maintenance activities for the Visitor Center and other relevant areas. * Manage the landscaping and design of property grounds, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained environment. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date project and facilities inventory records. * Schedule and supervise the daily activities of assigned employees on a weekly basis. * Identify and address staff capacity issues, flag peak periods and potential conflicts, and implement solutions to mitigate resource challenges. * Lead weekly resource stand-up meetings (involving creative, editorial, and other relevant teams) to review workload and resource assignments. * Collaborate with project managers and discipline leads to effectively manage project timelines, priorities, and workload distribution. * Serve as the primary point of escalation for troubleshooting and resolving any concerns or issues that may arise. * Contribute to a diverse, productive, and high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. * Manage subcontract quality to ensure work meets required standards. * Manage assigned technical workforce and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. * Lead project kickoff meetings and construction meetings, and assist in coordinating site meetings with clients and contractors as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven experience in project supervision or management, with a strong track record of successfully overseeing projects and facilities operations. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively schedule, supervise, and motivate employees. * Solid understanding of facilities management principles, including preventative maintenance, inventory control, and safety compliance. * Proficiency in developing and implementing project management systems and processes. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff, vendors, clients, and contractors. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and efficiently. * Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and compliance standards. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach. * Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications.
