Head of Technology (China Market) - SYN

Description

This role is critical in leading and managing the IT team to deliver high-quality and efficient IT solutions that support business objectives. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, and relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a strong leader with exceptional technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. * Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and achieving common goals. * Continuously review and enhance business and IT systems and processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality. * Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT operations and work with business units and vendors to track and monitor performance. * Champion and oversee the implementation of new IT infrastructure and applications, working closely with appointed vendors. * Ensure successful project and change management initiatives by effectively communicating with stakeholders and ensuring that deployments meet all requirements. * Collaborate with stakeholders to develop in-depth business and operational insights using data analytics tools. * Promote a strong reliability culture by partnering with application development, data engineering, security, and architecture teams to identify and resolve operational issues. * Be prepared to travel internationally, including to China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field. * Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in IT-related domains within the relevant industry. * Broad experience and understanding of enterprise IT solutions, including data center management and data governance. * Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills. * Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
