Description
We are looking for a Head Chef with experience in Japanese cuisine to lead our kitchen team at Collyer Quay. The role involves managing daily food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and overseeing cost control while developing creative menus for both regular and event dining. Responsibilities and Duties
* Lead and motivate the kitchen team with responsibility and a positive attitude * Manage daily food preparation and restocking of ingredients * Ensure kitchen hygiene and safety are maintained at all times * Create seasonal menus and special event menus * Oversee cost control and inventory management * Work split shifts and be available on one weekend day
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Japanese cuisine at a similar level * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a team * Knowledge of cost control, food preparation, and kitchen operations * Ability to design creative menus and event offerings * Willingness to work split shifts and weekends
