We are seeking a passionate and experienced Vice Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team at a bustling food stall located in the heart of Singapore. Our stall specializes in serving high-quality fresh seafood and traditional Chinese-style cooking. As the restaurant continues to grow, we are looking for a talented individual to assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery. * Act as the Head Chef in their absence, leading the team to uphold high standards and consistent quality in cooking. * Demonstrate expertise in handling and preparing fresh seafood, guaranteeing the highest quality dishes for customers. * Skilled in traditional Chinese frying techniques to maintain authentic flavors and dish integrity. * Responsible for food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring strict adherence to company standards. * Train and supervise junior kitchen staff to ensure tasks are completed effectively and efficiently. * Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations at all times. * Oversee inventory management, kitchen supplies, and assist with ordering to maintain smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including a role as a deputy chef or similar kitchen management position. * Proficient in traditional Chinese cuisine and/or the preparation of live seafood. * Knowledgeable in cooking techniques, particularly the handling and preparation of live seafood. * Possession of a valid Singapore Food Hygiene Certificate. * Able to read and write basic English and/or Chinese to effectively communicate with both PRC and non-Chinese colleagues. * Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. * Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong teamwork, and excellent communication skills. * Available to work 6 days a week, including weekends, public holidays, and extended hours.
