The Guest Services role is essential for providing an exceptional experience to guests from their arrival to departure. Responsibilities include warmly greeting guests, assisting with check-in and check-out procedures, and addressing inquiries to ensure guest satisfaction. The role involves managing reservations, handling financial transactions, and maintaining guest account accuracy. Additionally, the Guest Services staff collaborates with other departments to fulfill special requests and promote hotel amenities. Responsibilities and Duties

Greet all guests and visitors warmly and welcomingly. * Attend to guests upon arrival and departure. * Assist guests with registration, explain the hotel’s facilities and services, and allocate rooms as booked. * Use guests' names consistently. * Ensure accommodations are allocated to guests as booked and suitable for their needs. * Address any guest inquiries. * Acknowledge all guests at the reception counter, regardless of whether you are busy or free, using eye contact and positive body language. * Ensure guest satisfaction is consistently achieved. * Accurately handle cash, credit cards, checks, and vouchers for guest account settlements. * Bid farewell to guests upon departure. * Assist guests with foreign exchange services. * Help guests with safety deposit requirements. * Take and relay messages for guests. * Maintain key security protocols. * Ensure the security of guests' property. * Post dockets to guest accounts accurately. * Promote the hotel and its outlets to optimize sales and occupancy. * Take reservations for accommodations. * Refer complaints to the Senior Guest Service Agent or Assistant Manager. * Coordinate with Housekeeping regarding guests’ requests for extra beds, baby cots, and other accommodation needs. * Maintain stationary levels as required. * Monitor hotel occupancy status and check availability. * Be fully familiar with all hotel emergency procedures. * Keep your work area clean, hygienic, and tidy. * Stay informed about current hotel events, facilities, and services available to guests, and respond to their requests for information. * Attend all staff and training meetings as directed by the Front Office Manager. * Report any potential health or safety hazards promptly to the Front Office Manager or Duty Manager. * Carry out all duties in line with hotel policies, maintaining high standards of personal appearance, hygiene, correct uniform, and name badge as outlined in the staff handbook. * Perform any other duties as directed by the Front Office Manager or Duty Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Diploma or equivalent qualification in hospitality, tourism, or a related field * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
