Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled culinary professional to prepare a variety of delicious meals, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of food safety and quality. In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of food preparation, from initial ingredient prep to final plating, and will contribute to a positive and efficient kitchen environment. Collaboration and a commitment to excellence are key to success in this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare ingredients meticulously by following recipes, including slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing. * Season ingredients appropriately and verify the taste profile before plating meals. * Complete the preparation of hot dishes through grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling. * Assemble and refrigerate cold ingredients according to recipe specifications. * Strictly adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines. * Maintain accurate temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required. * Ensure proper dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items to maintain freshness and safety. * Collaborate with the supervisor to contribute to the creation of daily, holiday, and theme menus. * Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation for all equipment, food storage areas, and work surfaces. * Complete cleaning tasks according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing and pot washing. * Listen attentively to customer feedback and suggestions, and resolve complaints within the scope of the role. * Implement appropriate suggestions and escalate more complex concerns to the supervisor. * Actively participate in and contribute to programs, committees, or projects aimed at improving service quality and employee productivity. * Maintain clean and organized work areas, utensils, and equipment. * Develop innovative new menu items while also refining existing recipes. * Manage kitchen expenses, food costs, inventory, and staffing levels within budget constraints. * Demonstrate proficiency in preparing North Indian cuisine. * Be available and willing to work on a shift basis. * Assist with all aspects of food preparation and the serving of meals to customers. * Supervise a team to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen and service areas. * Ensure strict compliance with all food, health, and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven experience in food preparation, demonstrating a strong understanding of culinary techniques. * Knowledge of and adherence to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, including HACCP. * Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently. * Experience in operating various kitchen equipment, such as grills, sauté pans, roasters, and fryers. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and efficient work environment. * Ability to work collaboratively with a team and contribute to menu development. * Excellent listening and problem-solving skills to address customer feedback. * Willingness to participate in initiatives to improve service quality and productivity. * Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. * Experience in developing new menu items and managing kitchen resources (expenses, inventory, staffing) is desirable. * Proficiency in preparing North Indian food is required. * Flexibility to work on a shift schedule. * Previous experience in assisting with food preparation and serving, as well as supervising a team, is beneficial. * A strong understanding of and commitment to following all food, health, and safety regulations.
