We are looking for a proactive and dependable Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. This role focuses on maintaining a well-functioning environment, coordinating manpower, overseeing guest satisfaction, and ensuring that both front- and back-of-house run smoothly. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure situations and is ready to step into any role to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Supervise overall restaurant cleanliness, maintenance schedules, and essential services such as pest control and equipment servicing. *Plan and manage staff rosters to maintain optimal staffing levels across shifts while ensuring compliance with work hour regulations and rest days. *Distribute duties fairly among the team, ensuring balanced workloads and adequate shift coverage. *Professionally handle guest feedback, resolve complaints on the spot, and recover service to exceed expectations. *Step in to support or cover roles in any department when needed. *Oversee day-to-day operations across dining areas, pantry, stewarding, and private dining rooms to ensure seamless service. *Monitor and manage restaurant inventory, including purchasing supplies when necessary to maintain service flow. *Keep all areas clean, safe, and properly equipped before, during, and after service periods. *Ensure the availability and proper condition of crockery, cutlery, and equipment needed for smooth operations. *Track outlet repairs and maintenance needs, and ensure timely resolution of any facility issues. *Attend relevant training programs to stay up to date with operational standards and practices. *Handle reservation and cashiering concerns with efficiency and professionalism. *Manage restaurant petty cash handling, including disbursements and reimbursement processes. *Communicate any delays, customer concerns, or kitchen issues promptly to management or the chef. *Prepare for any special dietary or service requirements requested by customers, ensuring all details are carried out precisely.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role in the F&B industry is preferred. *Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations. *Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset. *Able to multitask and take initiative to cover multiple aspects of operations. *Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required. *Organized, responsible, and capable of enforcing hygiene and safety standards consistently. *Familiar with restaurant operations including maintenance coordination, inventory management, and service recovery.
