Description

The IT Manager, reporting to the Financial Controller, is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel’s IT department, delivering prompt and reliable service to all hotel departments. As the designated Data Protection Officer, the IT Manager ensures that all computer systems, both hardware and software, are properly maintained, secure, and fully functional. They implement and enforce security protocols, conduct regular system audits, and ensure that any IT issues, whether hardware or software-related, are addressed immediately. Additionally, the IT Manager manages routine updates, performs daily and monthly backup procedures, and provides training on IT security and procedures to hotel staff. They also collaborate with various departments to assess IT needs and offer tailored solutions, all while maintaining the integrity and security of the hotel’s IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Reports directly to the Financial Controller. * Ensures the smooth operation of the IT department, providing efficient service to all hotel departments. * Acts as the Data Protection Officer for the hotel. * Oversees the maintenance and reliability of the hotel’s computer systems, including hardware and software. * Ensures immediate action is taken to resolve software and hardware issues. * Maintains the physical and logical security of the IT system. * Develops and updates incident management policies and procedures, ensuring clear actions and contacts in case of issues. * Performs routine system setups, including regular updates of antivirus programs. * Conducts daily and monthly backup procedures, ensuring successful completion and data security. * Assists departments in defining IT material needs and provides suitable solutions. * Provides regular IT security training and ensures all staff adhere to password policies, server standby modes, and IT procedures. * Conducts regular computer audits to identify unauthorized programs or security vulnerabilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field with 3 years of experience in a similar role. * Proficient in both spoken and written English. * Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn. * Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. * Excellent problem-solving abilities. * Attention to detail is a plus.
