Description
We’re looking for a hands-on and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for hospitality. You'll be responsible for guiding the team, managing budgets, improving processes, and ensuring everything runs smoothly — all while keeping guests satisfied and the restaurant thriving.
Responsibilities and Duties
Team Leadership *Recruit, train, and manage both front-of-house and kitchen staff. *Create clear goals and expectations for the team while fostering a supportive and motivating environment. *Handle staffing concerns, scheduling, and performance management. Restaurant Operations *Oversee the daily flow of operations to maintain high service and food quality standards. *Proactively address challenges and make quick decisions to ensure service continuity. *Ensure all areas of the restaurant are clean, organized, and operating efficiently. Financial Oversight *Support budget planning and expense tracking. *Monitor revenue, control spending, and explore opportunities to increase profitability. *Review financial reports and recommend cost-saving strategies. Menu Development *Collaborate with the kitchen team to create and update menus. *Estimate food costs and adjust offerings based on customer preferences and business needs. Cost & Waste Management *Maintain quality while managing portion control and food usage. *Implement methods to reduce waste without compromising guest satisfaction. Compliance & Safety *Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service regulations. *Maintain documentation and readiness for health inspections or audits. Marketing & Community Engagement *Assist in planning and promoting events, campaigns, and seasonal offers. *Build partnerships with nearby businesses and participate in local activities to boost visibility. Guest Experience *Create a welcoming atmosphere through attention to details like cleanliness, lighting, and ambiance. *Ensure that guests consistently receive high-quality service and enjoyable dining experiences. Qualifications and Requirements
*At least 5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, including prior supervisory or management experience. *Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a diverse team. Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. *Open availability, including weekends, public holidays, and split shifts as needed. *Strong verbal and written communication abilities. *Customer service focused, with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. *In-depth understanding of food hygiene, safety standards, and related health regulations.
