An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled and passionate Head Chef Baker to spearhead the bakery operations for a highly regarded international bakery brand as it launches its inaugural Singapore location within the vibrant Resorts World Sentosa. This pivotal role demands an individual who can expertly lead a team, ensuring the consistent creation of top-tier baked goods while upholding the brand's esteemed quality and authenticity. The Head Chef Baker will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of the bakery, from ingredient preparation to the final product, and will collaborate closely with management on menu development and innovation.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Guide, educate, and supervise the team of bakers and their assistants. * Manage the daily flow of the bakery, encompassing mixing, shaping, baking, and finishing processes. * Guarantee that all breads, pastries, and other baked items consistently meet the established high standards of quality. * Handle the management of supplies, including inventory and ordering, as well as contributing to kitchen budget oversight. * Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace within the bakery. * Collaborate closely with management on creating menus, developing seasonal offerings, and engaging in research and development. * Ensure adherence to all food safety and hygiene regulations set forth by local authorities. * Maintain the brand's identity while adapting products to resonate with the Singaporean market where appropriate. * Instruct local team members in the specific techniques and recipes associated with Korean baking.

Qualifications and Requirements

* At least five years of practical experience working in a bakery production setting, with a focus on both bread and pastries. * Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a bakery, cafe, or similar food production environment. * Comprehensive understanding of baking principles, including fermentation, dough development, proofing, baking, and finishing. * Familiarity with Korean-style breads and pastries is advantageous, though training will be provided. * A strong enthusiasm for artisanal baking, a commitment to quality assurance, and the ability to foster a positive team environment. * Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, which may include weekends and public holidays based on operational needs. * Possession of a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate recognized by local authorities (or a commitment to obtain it).
