Responsibilities and Duties

* Assist in the daily preparation and service of all pastry items * Ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and portion control * Support the Pastry Chef and Sous Chef in menu development and seasonal offerings * Apply solid knowledge of classical pastry techniques and develop modern styles * Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with food safety regulations * Ensure an organized and efficient pastry section at all times * Participate actively in team collaboration and contribute to a respectful kitchen culture * Support inventory and mise-en-place preparation * Uphold brand and service standards of Brasserie Astoria * Perform other duties as assigned by senior chefs

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a professional pastry kitchen * Strong foundation in classical pastry techniques; open to learning modern styles * Passionate about pastry and culinary arts with a keen eye for detail * Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset * Positive attitude, self-motivated, and proactive in a fast-paced environment * Committed to upholding hygiene, food safety, and organizational standards * Prior experience in fine dining or quality-driven kitchens is an advantage
