Description
We are looking for a passionate Junior Sous Chef to join a growing Italian restaurant group. You will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, menu execution, and staff supervision, ensuring consistency in food quality and kitchen efficiency. Responsibilities and Duties
* Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and sourcing quality ingredients * Prepare and cook Italian dishes to meet taste and presentation standards * Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff * Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety compliance * Manage stock levels, inventory, and minimize wastage * Lead the kitchen during assigned shifts and resolve service challenges * Uphold brand standards and contribute ideas for improvement
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, Italian cuisine preferred * Culinary diploma or certification is an advantage * Strong leadership and mentoring abilities * Solid knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and hygiene practices * Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure * Willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays * Immediate availability preferred
