Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing North Indian dishes, uphold high food safety standards, and contribute to both daily operations and menu innovation. Responsibilities and Duties
*Prepare ingredients by following established recipes: slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing; verify seasoning and taste before plating *Execute hot meal preparation including grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling; assemble cold items and manage proper refrigeration *Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP procedures, temperature logs, proper labeling, and product rotation *Contribute to the development of daily, holiday, and themed menus in collaboration with the kitchen supervisor *Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen, including all utensils, equipment, and storage areas *Perform scheduled cleaning duties and assist with dishwashing/pot washing as required *Listen to and resolve basic customer complaints; escalate complex concerns to the supervisor *Suggest and implement service improvements and participate in team projects or committees *Support the creation of new menu items and the enhancement of existing ones *Help manage kitchen costs, including food expenses, inventory control, and staffing within budgetary guidelines *Supervise and support kitchen team members, ensuring service and cleanliness standards are met *Prepare and serve meals to customers efficiently and professionally *Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications and Requirements
*Proven experience in cooking North Indian cuisine *Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures *Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays *Ability to supervise and train team members *Good communication and interpersonal skills *Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and contribute to a positive kitchen environment
