Description

The Head Chef will be responsible for leading kitchen operations, ensuring quality food preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards. Responsibilities and Duties

* Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment (e.g., knives, pans, kitchen scales) * Study recipes and gather necessary ingredients * Cook dishes in a timely and consistent manner * Delegate tasks to kitchen staff and supervise performance * Inform service team of daily specials * Ensure appealing plate presentation * Supervise cooks and provide assistance as needed * Modify recipes based on customer dietary requests (e.g., reduce salt, remove dairy) * Monitor food stock levels and place orders when required * Check freshness of ingredients and discard expired items * Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients for menu innovation * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the kitchen

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven work experience as Chef or Cook * Hands-on experience with Chinese cuisine and various kitchen equipment * Strong leadership and team management skills * Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure * Excellent time management and organizational abilities * Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes * Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
