Description

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of the store. You will be responsible for maximizing sales, managing stock preparation, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role involves motivating and supporting the team, handling cash, banking, and administrative tasks, and meeting performance targets. You will also manage staff schedules, including leave and off days, and act as the key holder for the shop. Additional ad-hoc duties will be required to ensure smooth store operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Oversee the daily operations of the store, aiming to maximize profits through increased sales and effective control of shop expenses. * Manage stock preparation and ensure the store is well-stocked at all times. * Provide exceptional customer service and promote best practices within the store. * Achieve performance standards and sales targets. * Motivate, guide, and support the shop staff. * Handle cash, banking, and associated administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations. * Plan staff schedules, including off days, annual leave, and replacements. * Act as the key holder for the store. * Perform other ad-hoc duties as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven experience in retail management or similar roles. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team. * Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to promoting best practices. * Ability to manage stock levels and ensure the store is adequately stocked. * Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle scheduling, leave, and staff coordination. * Proficient in cash handling, banking, and administrative procedures. * Ability to meet sales targets and performance standards. * Good communication skills and the ability to foster a positive work environment. * Willingness to take on ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities. * Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed. * Previous experience as a key holder is a plus.
