Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and ingredient selection. - Prepare and cook Italian dishes with consistency and high quality. - Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering skill development. - Oversee kitchen operations during shifts to ensure efficiency and standards. - Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations. - Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and manage stock control. - Handle customer concerns and special requests professionally.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably in an Italian restaurant. - Formal culinary training or relevant certifications preferred. - Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, cooking techniques, and food safety. - Excellent leadership and team management abilities. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure. - Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about food.
