Retail Manager

Description

The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, driving sales, and controlling expenses. You will report to the Area Manager and manage stock levels, ensure excellent customer service, and meet performance targets. Key duties include cash handling, banking, staff scheduling, and conducting performance reviews. You will also handle online orders, ensure compliance with company policies, and maintain shop security and safety standards. Additionally, you will perform any ad-hoc tasks as required.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Oversee daily store operations to maximize sales and manage expenses. * Report to the Area Manager on shop and staff concerns. * Manage stock preparation and ensure adequate inventory. * Deliver excellent customer service and promote best practices. * Meet performance standards and sales targets. * Motivate and support shop staff. * Handle cash, banking, and administrative procedures in line with company policies. * Ensure compliance with security, health, and safety regulations. * Maintain confidentiality at all times. * Conduct staff appraisals and identify training needs for the Area Manager. * Plan staff hours, leave schedules, and replacements. * Ensure timely execution of orders from online platforms (e.g., Foodpanda). * Serve as the key holder for the shop. * Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Thrives in a Fast-Paced Environment: Capable of maintaining high performance and focus while handling multiple tasks in a busy, dynamic setting. * Multitasking Skills: Efficiently manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time. * 6-Day Work Week: Availability to work a full 6-day week to meet business needs. * Weekend and Holiday Availability: Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays as required to support store operations and customer demands.
