Restaurant Manager / Shift Manager

A local food & beverage company is seeking a proactive and hands-on Restaurant Shift Manager to oversee daily operations during assigned shifts. This role is key to ensuring smooth service flow, maintaining high standards of food quality and customer experience, and supporting staff performance. Responsibilities and Duties

* Supervise and coordinate daily shift operations to meet service, food safety, and cleanliness standards * Lead, motivate, and support both FOH and BOH staff during shifts * Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally * Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment; report shortages to management * Assist with staff training and development to maintain performance and morale * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations * Manage cash handling, shift reports, and sales reconciliation * Collaborate with Restaurant Manager to implement promotions, improve workflows, and enhance customer satisfaction

Qualifications and Requirements

* Previous experience in restaurant supervision, hospitality, or a related role * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to motivate a team * Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure * Basic knowledge of financial transactions, cash handling, and reporting * Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices * Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
