Description

We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef with expertise in South Indian cuisine to join a restaurant in Chinatown. The role involves supporting the Executive Chef, preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Responsibilities and Duties

* Assist in the preparation and design of South Indian food menus * Produce high-quality dishes in both presentation and taste * Ensure timely and efficient kitchen operations that meet quality standards * Support the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when required * Solve operational issues and manage kitchen challenges effectively * Train, supervise, and assess kitchen staff performance * Manage ordering and maintain proper inventory levels * Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards * Maintain a professional and collaborative work environment

Qualifications and Requirements

* At least 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in South Indian cuisine * Strong culinary expertise in South Indian dishes and cooking methods * Proven leadership and team management skills * Good problem-solving and organizational abilities * Ability to maintain high standards under pressure
