Description
Les Amis Group is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join its French fine dining team. The role involves supporting the Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations, procurement, and menu development. You will work closely with the culinary team to deliver refined dishes at consistently high standards, while upholding hygiene and food safety practices. Responsibilities and Duties
* Assist Sous Chef with administrative tasks including procurement and invoicing * Prepare ingredients and cook dishes for a French fine dining outlet * Guide, counsel, and supervise junior kitchen staff * Contribute to new dish development with the Chef * Ensure food quality, presentation, and taste meet fine dining standards * Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, including storage areas * Enforce compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations
Qualifications and Requirements
* Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification * Minimum 4 years of professional kitchen experience * Strong knowledge of French cuisine and premium ingredients * Acute palate with attention to taste and presentation * Excellent understanding of food handling and cooking procedures * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment
