Description

We are looking for a Guest Service Officer to oversee guest registrations, handle cashier shifts accurately, and provide exceptional guest service. This role involves coordinating with various departments to fulfill guest requests, ensuring smooth front desk operations, and maintaining high standards of guest relations in line with hotel SOPs. Candidates should have excellent English communication skills, be disciplined, and possess a strong customer service orientation. Willingness to work on public holidays and weekends (with off days in lieu) is required, as well as comfort in interacting with international guests to uphold the hotel's reputation and image.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Welcome and efficiently register all hotel guests, ensuring accurate handling of cashier duties and transactions throughout each shift. * Communicate effectively with guests to assist with any inquiries, requests, or specific needs, ensuring a high level of personalized service. * Coordinate with other hotel departments to promptly address and fulfill guest requests, facilitating seamless service delivery. * Oversee the smooth operation of the front desk during assigned shifts, proactively addressing any issues to maintain high standards. * Ensure smooth handover between front office shifts, maintaining continuity in guest service and operational consistency. * Strictly adhere to the hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance and quality. * Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns and enhancing all aspects of the guest experience. * Uphold the hotel’s reputation and image, ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the hotel’s standards and values.

Qualifications and Requirements

* A strong command of the English language, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication with guests and team members. * Candidates must be willing to work on weekends and public holidays, with compensatory days off provided for public holiday shifts. * The ideal applicant is disciplined, committed to providing outstanding service, and personable, with a genuine enjoyment of working with people. * Comfort and professionalism in interacting with a diverse, international clientele are key, as this role requires building rapport with guests from various cultural backgrounds.
