Kitchen Helper (Halal Vegetarian Cafe)

Description

Assist in food preparation and basic cooking according to standard recipes.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency. - Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils. - Adhere to NEA food hygiene and safety regulations. - Assist in stock receiving, storage, and inventory checks. - Support counter duties including food packing, serving, or simple cashiering as needed. - Assist in training and guiding apprentices, trainees, or interns. - Perform other duties assigned by Café Manager or Supervisor to support café operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Education: Minimum Primary School qualification. - Experience: Prior kitchen or F&B experience preferred (training provided). - Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety. - Able to communicate in simple English. - Physically fit for a fast-paced kitchen environment. - Team-oriented, punctual, and willing to learn. - Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is an advantage.
