Retail Assistant Manager

Description

The Retail Assistant Manager will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that customer service standards are met and sales targets are achieved. You will be responsible for hiring and training new employees, supervising sales clerks, and assisting with inventory management. Working alongside the Store Manager, you will help create product advertisements and promotions. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for maintaining store morale by motivating staff during busy shifts and addressing customer complaints to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Hire and train new employees, ensuring they have the skills to deliver excellent customer service. * Supervise sales clerks to ensure customers are promptly and professionally assisted. * Collaborate with the manager to create and implement product advertisements and promotional materials. * Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed to maintain stock. * Motivate staff during busy shifts to ensure efficient and effective customer service. * Handle customer complaints, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure satisfaction. * Ensure smooth store operations and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. * Support the achievement of sales targets and store goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven experience in retail management, with a strong track record of overseeing store operations and leading teams to achieve sales targets. * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both staff and customers. * Skilled in motivating and coaching staff, fostering a high-performing team that delivers excellent customer service. * Flexibility in working hours, with the ability to adapt to the store's needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Solid basic math skills, with the ability to manage cash flow, handle transactions, and ensure accurate stock management.
