Sales and Marketing Executive (Marine)

Description

As a Sales and Marketing professional in the oil and energy sector, you will develop and nurture relationships with existing clients while implementing effective marketing strategies to attract new business. Staying informed on global oil and energy market trends, you will conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities in the bunker supply industry. A strong understanding of the international bunker business, including ports, suppliers, and regulations, will be crucial in promoting services and creating marketing materials that effectively communicate value propositions to customers. You will oversee the entire sales process, from quoting to post-delivery support, while monitoring customer credit, handling disputes, and assisting with collections when necessary. In addition, you will play a role in training and developing junior staff while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients while implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers. * Stay informed on global oil and energy market trends, conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities in the bunker supply sector. * Have a deep understanding of the international bunker industry, including ports, suppliers, owners, charterers, and relevant regulations. * Leverage knowledge of oil market dynamics and marine fuel pricing strategies, alongside expertise in the maritime shipping industry. * Develop and create compelling marketing materials to showcase services and value propositions to both existing and potential clients. * Oversee the entire sales cycle, including quoting, negotiations, order confirmations, delivery, and post-delivery support. * Monitor customer credit limits, track payment performance, and assist with collections when necessary. * Manage dispute resolution and claims as required. * Support the training and development of junior staff and trainees. * Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification. * At least 2 years of experience in a similar sales or marketing position. * Preference for candidates with experience in the oil and gas industry. * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly. * Excellent analytical abilities to assess market trends and customer requirements. * Outstanding interpersonal skills for building and nurturing relationships. * Highly organized with strong follow-up and attention to detail. * Proficient in the MS Office suite. * Fluent in both written and spoken communication.
