Description
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations and drive both service excellence and profitability. This role is suited for a hands-on leader who understands the intricacies of food and beverage management, has a strong grasp of customer service, and can maintain a productive and engaged team. Responsibilities and Duties
Daily Operations & Customer Experience *Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. *Monitor food quality, service standards, cleanliness, and hygiene across all departments. *Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt resolution of feedback and complaints. *Schedule staff effectively to meet operational demands and maximize productivity. *Maintain proper documentation of restaurant operations, including logs, reports, and employee records. *Implement operational procedures for new menu items and services. *Uphold all hygiene and safety regulations in line with company and legal standards. *Manage cash handling procedures, including deposits and safe operations. Sales Performance & Financial Management *Drive restaurant revenue through effective in-house marketing and local promotion strategies. *Track and manage expenses to align with budget targets. *Prepare and analyze sales, profit and loss, inventory, and other operational reports. *Ensure accurate financial forecasting and budget control across all departments. *Execute promotional campaigns and initiatives to boost sales. Team Leadership & Development *Lead, mentor, and build a motivated team committed to excellent service. *Manage recruitment, training, and retention of team members. *Oversee performance reviews, set goals, and ensure regular feedback and recognition. *Administer staff benefits, payroll matters, and adherence to company HR policies. *Promote a positive workplace culture and ensure high morale within the team. Food Safety & Sanitation *Enforce food safety standards and hygiene protocols throughout the restaurant. *Inspect and monitor food storage, prep, and service areas to ensure cleanliness and regulatory compliance. *Maintain consistency in food quality for both raw and cooked items. Workplace Safety & Risk Management *Ensure the restaurant complies with all safety protocols and emergency procedures. *Maintain the facility, equipment, and infrastructure according to safety and quality standards. *Conduct regular safety audits and emergency drills. *Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary. General & Miscellaneous *Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as delegated by senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements
*A diploma or certification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field. *Proficient in English, both spoken and written. *Detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical skills. *Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure. *Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with a diverse team and clientele. *Self-motivated, well-groomed, and committed to excellence. *Comfortable with standing and physical tasks for extended periods during shifts. *Open to working shifts, including weekends and public holidays. *Eager to learn, grow, and improve through feedback and training.
